C1 3 "morning brew..."

Where we shar positive, uplifting stories............. the salvation army in south dakota is thanking whoever dropped a gold coin, worth nearly 18- hundred dollars, into one of its kettles.

A salvation army coordinator said it happened in front of a walmart in rapid city.

The generous donation will let them help about 6- thousand people this year.

But the salvation army says the need is greater this year because of the pandemic.

Fewer people are out shopping, carrying coins... and millions have been left without jobs.

That's why it is now running a special campaign called "rescue christmas".... for more information about donating, head to salvation army usa-dot-org.
