MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -- Members of a non-partisan group from areas around Georgia made their way to the board of elections on Pio Nono to promote voting in a different way.

On interstates and state highways.

This is also happening near major shopping areas and tourist locations.

Members of a non-partisan group -- from different parts of georgia -- made their way... to the macon-bibb board of elections office.

And the group is promote voting... in a unique way.

The group is called "election defenders."

And on tuesday members set up a dj ... played music and danced.

It's all part of an effort they call " bringing joy to the polls."

And it is all about encouraging people to have fun as they head to the voting booth.

Lead producer ricardo spicer says 2020 has been a rough year.

The group just wants to get people in a good mood as they exercise their right to vote.

Everything we do in the social space has a social contract and if we truly want to love our brother and love you neighbor, and support our neighbor voting helps ensure that these c1 3 b13 processes keep us all in a peaceful way and we can still abide by that social contract" spicer says the group was also in macon for the general elections in november.

Georgia voters deciding two u-s senate runoff elections.

Remember early voting is happening now ... through december 30th.

The polls will be closed tomorrow and friday for the holidays.

But they are back open on monday, december 28th.
