Former Rep.
Mickey Edwards of Oklahoma said leaving the Republican Party because of Trump's control over the party.
Edwards said the GOP has become a "cult" under President Donald Trump.
He decried Republicans who backed Trump's effort to overturn President-elect Joe Biden's election win.
"This has become a cult," he said.
