Italy's famous Mount Etna volcano in Sicily has erupted once again on Tuesday (February 16) spewing lava and sending ash into the sky.

Footage captured by Twitter user @luisapetino shows the billowing ash and smoke as it covers the sky giving a hellish yellow and orange glow.

Authorities said that nearby towns were not at risk.

Etna is the most active volcano in Europe and regularly erupts.
