Clumps of the ash are heard striking Vincenzo Modica's car as he drove through the city on February 28.

Further footage shows Modica sweeping a layer of the ash from his balcony as well as the substance piling up on his hammock.

Mount Etna continued to erupt on Sunday (February 28) covering the surrounding settlements in ash.
