Mary... wantedthe kitchen to be just right.So in October of 2019 ... shewent to Lowes .... had plansdrawn up for custom cabinets anda kitchen island on wheels formobility to be moved around asneeded for a wheelchair.Machele says her parents paidextra to expedite the13-thousand dollar project inhopes to have it done before abig family Thanksgiving thatyear... only to have those hopesdashed."At Christmas, we had partialcabinets, I want to say, andthere was no sink, we werewashing dishes in the bathroom."The first set of cabinetsweren't right... didn't fit ...Machele says.They got another set... but theystill weren't right ... not theright length, not the rightheight.Take the oven and microwave forexample.... they were installedtoo high... even after twoattempts.A metal plate covers the openingfor the first incorrectinstallation.Machele says her mom still can'treach into the microwave."They came back and lowered it,but it's still not low enough towhere the measurements weresupposed to be."And to this day ... thesecabinet doors still haven't beeninstalled... by the third-partycontractor hired by Lowes thesame goes for some siding andbaseboards."That's very frustrating, I'vecalled numerous times, I know mymom has called numerous times,she's called uncountable times.""Not only do they want thecabinets completed correctly ...Machele thinks they should berefunded at least some of the13-thousand dollars they paid.We got in touch with thestore's corporate offices.
