The Songbirds Foundation rises from the ashes of last year's Covid-related loss of the Guitar Museum

Let's just let them back everyone in your community.

Today we all know that words museum closed down earlier last year due to the coronavirus pandemic but we have some reall great news to share with you today.

We are learning more about how the songbirds foundation is beginning a new chapter and joining us and tell us all about it is read conwell i read arial even well.

Thanks for joining us for a bit about the great news of the foundatio what's coming up in nature.

Wel, as we all know the somber guitar museum closed officially in august 2020 and the investors i adventure donated all the stuff within the space to the somber foundation includes casework to staging the lighting sale systems all that stuff and what we're doing is we're taking a dramatic change from major primarily explain business cars over to doing hands-on exhibit.

This can be a steam based exhibit.

It's essentially the story of sound as told through the guitar being the central narrator of the story so it talks about what sound is how w interact with sound, but it's also about how guitar makes sound and how that sounds modern art is a ghost signal change must be titles and and since the pickups.

There's a lot of things to touch.

I love you are in late working with great companies changes in the is an awesome display cars here in town, and lots of other great folks to come together to help us tell stories, science, real hands-on kind of farm and refund for not only was his also adults can't wait wavy j just machine sounds pretty cool will also have rotating exhibits but i'm attending a history our first rotating exhibit a russian were very excited about that.

There china euros.

Can't wait to get that going.

I will also carry a lot of traditions or the guitar resume started like live concerts start back september.

We also build, if you want to live in guitar.

We still have you do that you can then also a lot of great things.

They started will continue as well and they are very eager to say that neil and bird cut the sign up on the building.

Actually, o as well.

I read that you were very excited for you guys to be able to do this again in our community done so much.

I can b for family so anybody can check it out and to be available starting in the fall is that correct read.

Yeah we are.

Our intention is to open up to brown on september probably september 1 will look at right now just a slip and everything, what we can do the other great news about all this is the fact that now everything we do all the events by concert concert to rent the space.

Any of the stuf goes back to support our cars for kids program so all the revenue we generate from this race will go directly to that program which allows the body cartridges all across the state.

I'm solicitous, exciting, twisted thing is that it now ar now functioning as a nonprofit.

All revenues were sacred program as far as the building out a little bit about the sketch design.

How would it tak you to come up with that said i wanted to let the interactive access will be.

We started in august, we met with people in town who does these things well what creative discovery museum which we we love and respect those those folks over there.

They done great work they reall understand the concepts of how to make something engaging for not only for a kid to go in and learn science and also for the dole.

I love going there.

Schoo spot.

I was our meeting with them without talking through we want to make sure there are exhibits complement each other and don't do the exact same thing.

So it was working with designer kramer designs out of cincinnati and it really can move forward and we had a great time.

Lots of great conversations with awesome folk like tosh are these great empires and people that you know are very excited about sound and hansen titles.

It is moores excited as we are and so we started to come in together with what the system will look like.

What is your we still wanted to have that great ambience that the guitars gave you when you came in when you sit down to see a show there, you still feel like you're surrounded by music and finishe year cool stuff.

We also wanted really county gauge new demographics really make sure w have stuff that the family can calm and you can really walk ou of there with great know a more robust knowledge of what the guitar is and also hopefully we were humanizing the guitar work anybody who comes in will hopefully with the fact i'm 55 years old or 60 years old and i could play guitar.

I speak of a guitar player in the sky were really working towards more people playing, enjoying his greatest conwell thing.

So much for joining us and giving us this information.
