Healthcare and county workers are volunteering their time at busy COVID-19 vaccination sites.

The vaccine rollout continues across our area..

Butte county's administered about 61- thousand of the 91-thousand doses it's received..

Thanks in part to volunteers.

Tori -- you spoke with some of these volunteers..

Do they say it's worth the time and risk?

Hayley, most of the volunteers here are already fully vaccinated and say it is worth sacrificing some time to help get the rest of the community vaccianted.

Audrey tennis has been a butte county covid-19 vaccine volunteer since december.

Why does she do it?

Take sot audrey tennis "when i got it then i of course want everyone else to get it, so we can have a healthy community again" there are many different jobs on the site other than just giving the shots.

From checking eligibility to keeping clipboards sanitized... take sot audrey tennis "i mean it takes an army of people to run this event" tori standup and for volunteers this place serves as a place for service and potentially salvation.

Volunteer amanda veleroni is also proud to have this opportunity to serve.
