A Rowan County road is now named after K.S.P.

Vehicle Inspector Benita Blanton in Morehead.

Blanton died just before Christmas in 2016 in a crash.

A rowan county road... is now named in honor of a k-s-p commercial vehicle inspector.

Part of cranston road in morehead will now bear benita blanton's name.

Blanton died just before christmas in 2016 in a crash.

Her car went into an embankment on i- 64.

Family and friends are happy to see she'll be permanently honored in kentucky.

This just lets the family, you know, another way to show we haven't forgot her every time we pass the sign we'll have memories of benita."

Her coworkers say all those memories are good ones...that blanton was a joy to work with.
