<hello and welcome back.

For the seventh time in program history the barr-reeve vikings boys basketball team is playing on the last saturday of the year.

1a top ranked barr-reeve looked to bring home their second state title, standing in their way second ranked kouts.

1st qtr, it's a one point ball game until curt hopf gets the rock deep in the low post.

He fakes out two defenders and gets the easy lay in.

2nd qtr now, brycen graber sets up tommy kidwell for the pick and pop and it works to perfection.

Kidwell's three puts the vikings in front by 12.

Later in the qtr, graber with the hesitation pass to hagen knepp for the easy easy lay in.

Viks lead 26-14 at the half.

3rd qtr, barr-reeve passing out of the press to a wide open devin graber for the corner three.

The senior finished with 13.

Later in the 3rd, how many times have we seen brycen graber make no look passes like this.

Hopf with the easy lay.

Barr-reeve leads by 10.

Vikings inbounds play.

Graber to knepp for another easy two points.

Knepp finished with 16 points.

4th qtr, hopf has seen enough of the mustangs and decides it's time to put this game away as he gets the hoop and the harm.

Hopf finished with 23 points and class 1a state finals record 19 rebounds, brycen graber also set a new 1a state finals record in assists, dropping 13 dimes.

As the barr-reeve vikings bring home their second class 1a state championship by a final of 64-48.

After the win, the magnitude of what the vikings had just accomplished began to sink in for both the players and head coach josh thompson.

Thompso} just for me...being a guy from bloomfield and then having this, come together like this, ya know you just don't think you deserve things like this.

I know these guys apperciated everything that we had this year, as a team.

Hop} yeah, i am happy now.

I remember our conversations, but it's just been a blessing to be a part of this team.

We've had a lot of fun all season, i mean we've been winning but we've been having fun while we win and that's the most important part.

Grabe} for me,
