Saltillo woman celebrates 102nd birthday

Artilene Tutor celebrated her 102nd birthday on Saturday

It was a special day for one of the oldest residents at generations assisted living in saltillo.

Wtva's taylor tucker shares with us why this was such a special day.

Aslive: aretline tutor was born on april 3rd 1919.

That was before wtva's first newscast, that was even before the invention of the iphone.

Today, she celbrates 102 years.

Nat sound 102 years ago, arteline celbrated her first birthday.

Fast forward to today... tutor is still celebrating..

((sot:)) "thanks everybody for a wonderful birthday."

Arteline tutor - 102nd birthday tutor is a resident at generations assisted living.

Tutor's nurse describes tutor as a light in the home..

((sot:)) "she's the most loving caring women, she's been here for three years since i started and she's just so sweet.: madison ryan - tutor's nurse to tutors family, they know as her as the lady with alot of spunk.

But to the people in the nursing home, they know her as a track star.

((sot:)) "she's always running, she runs faster than us.

We always joke that when we get her down we will say you're not in a running race, you're not in track.

But shes sweet and tries to make everybodys day."

Madison ryan today tutor was surrounded by her family to celebrate.

She even shared stories of when she was a little girl.

Nat sound tutor's family said they are blessed she is able to live this long and defeat the coronavirus.
