Good morning, madelyne./// brooke and tyler.

I can tell you the the olmsted county free fair will be happening right here on the fair grounds this summer.

However, the layout of the fair will be different.

Here's video of what the olmsted county free fair used to look like in the past and this year will pretty much be the same.

Board member brandon helgeson tells me based on how much of the population will be vaccinated by july... the fair won't need to have a capacity limit.

So that means anyone can visit and the concerts and various events will be announced soon.

Helgeson says county fairs are a part of history that brings the community together and he's ready for that to come "in 2021 if we can give some sense of normalcy and doing it in a safe manner and giving that opportunity for people to see a friend they haven't seen in awhile, for grandma and grandpa to come out and do something that they haven't been able to do because they were higher risk and now they're vaccinated, so they feel comfortable coming out and getting a corn dog.

All of those things are really kind of the big thing."

He tells me the fair board will continue working with public health and the state to stay updated on covid?

"*19 cases.

Because thins could change after spring break numbers come back as well as memorial day next month.
