A fire at a home on Neilson Street has left 12 people displaced.

The fire broke out around 1:30 p.m.

Tuesday.

Flames broke out about 1:30.

The chief says the fire was heavy on the first floor and extended to the second floor unit and into the attic.

Everyone who was home at the time got out okay....but there was a moment of fear.

14:26:57 occupants reported one person was left inside the structure - we searched the structure, primary secondary searches.

We did not find that person...we accounted for him at school today 14:27:08 no one was hurt.

The chief says it was a difficult fire to fight based on how much fire was in the walls.
