Ross the valley are working together to remodel school buses into homes for families that lost everything in the almeda fire.

It's a new project called 'the bus project' and it's made possible through multiple community partners working together.

The students involved are getting class credit and a stipend for working with a goal of completing the transformation of both buses by the end of the school year.

Not only are is the bus pject going to supply much needed housing to families in need, it's also a way for students to get hands-on experience in the trades.

This opportunity in career and technical education, um, sparking that interest for students is critical right now, um, in southern oregon.

And so having supportive organizations like so ready, um, being involved road, workforce partnership, project youth, plus they, they know how important it is right now to spark interest in younger students.
