This is the heartwarming moment a lost pet Doberman dog trapped in a net was rescued in Thailand.

The chocolate brown pooch was tangled in the net at a football field before he was found by members of a local rescue team in Ang Thong province on June 11.

Volunteers observed the dog for signs of aggressive behaviour and when it was calm they began cutting parts of the net using scissors to free the animal.

The pooch was given some food and water and was taken to the Wat Ton Son Child Development Center next to the field where officers took care of it until the owner contacts them.

Por Teck Teung Volunteer Group member Chalermporn Inthai said: ‘The dog was big and we did not want to scare him by acting rash so we went slowly with it.

We tamed him first before cutting the net.

‘The dog was so friendly and everyone liked him.

We took him to the government building nearby so he could have shelter while waiting for the owner to come.’ The pooch was still being taken care of at the building while the officers look for the identity of the lost dog.
