I composed this instrumental acoustic guitar music to go with pictures of the Badlands National Park and the Badlands Trading Post in southwestern South Dakota.

The nearest city to the Badlands is Rapid City, SD.

The rugged Badlands National Park protects 244,000 acres of mixed-grass prairie where bison, bighorn sheep, prairie dogs, and black-footed ferrets live.

This Park is the largest undisturbed mixed-grass prairie in the United States and is one of the world’s richest fossil beds.

Millions of years ago, ancient animals lived in the Badlands (early horses, rhinos, saber-tooth cats, and alligators).

The Park is managed by National Park Service managers.

The Oglala Lakota Tribe manages the South Unit of the Park.
