The Queen City's last remaining arthouse cinema will close permanently. Regal Cinemas and its landlord, Eastern Federation Corp., said in a joint statement Wednesday afternoon that the Regal Manor Twin theater in Myers Park will not reopen. Although acquired by the Knoxville, Tennessee, movie theater chain in 2008, the Manor continued to show independent films, as well as mainstream features, on its two screens.
