Retail giant closing 19 stores in Alabama

Nearly 19 stores will close in Alabama as major retail chain Ascena Retail Group (NYSE: ASNA) navigates its bankruptcy. The New Jersey-based company has disclosed the locations of more than 1,100 stores within its portfolio that are set to close, and it includes a number of stores in metro Birmingham and across the state.
