Aurelius Minerals Inc (CVE:AUL) (OTCMKTS:AURQF) (FRA:1GA) has reported encouraging drill results from its Aureus West project in Nova Scotia, which has shown mineralization above and below the current inferred resource along strike and at depth.  Three holes were reported on Tuesday, which were part of a ten-hole program completed in 2020 for around 4,600 metres (m).  READ: Aurelius Minerals announces stock now trading on OTCQB in New York All three hit "significant" gold mineralization near surface, while new gold horizons were identified to a depth of 504m. "We continue to see extensive mineralization outside of the existing inferred mineral resource," said Mark Ashcroft, the CEO of Aurelius, in a statement. "A robust gold system, both long and deep, is emerging and we see substantial opportunity to grow and update the inferred mineral resource going forward. "The mineralized horizons demonstrate a combination of both high-grade mineralization and sediment-hosted mineralization providing a clear path to resource growth along a near 6km gold trend." Highlight assays included 2.85 grams per ton (g/t) gold in an intercept of 32.2m from a depth of 11.8m to 43.9m in one hole and a width of 20.3m grading 3.93 g/t gold starting from a depth of 30.5m in another. From a depth of 195.5m, the company hit an intercept of 0.5m at 30.7 g/t gold. Aureus West already contains an inferred resource of 269,000 tonnes at a grade of 6.1 g/t for a total of 53,200 ounces of gold and lies around 1km south of the company's Aureus East Gold project. Also in today's statement, the company reported that it had hired the services of Renmark Financial Communications to handle its investor relations. Aurelius is advancing the Aureus East and West, the Tangier gold project and the Forest Hill Gold in Nova Scotia. The company also has two district-scale gold projects in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt in Ontario. Contact the author at giles@proactiveinvestors.com
