The Return of Fun: State Fair and Summerfest mean it's back to cream puffs and live music

The cream puffs, the cows and the corn dogs are all returning to Milwaukee this August with the Wisconsin State Fair committing to its Aug. 5-15 dates after the Covid-19 pandemic forced its cancellation in 2020. Then one month later, Henry Maier Festival Park will welcome back live music with the return of the 'Big Gig,' Milwaukee's Summerfest for three weekends, Sept. 2-4, 9-11 and 16-18. Summerfest canceled in 2020 and postponed its festival to the fall this year.
