Jerry Falwell Jr. sues Liberty University, says school damaged his reputation

Falwell, who resigned in August as president of the evangelical school founded by his father, alleges that the university accepted without verification what he called false statements made by a man who had an affair with Falwell’s wife and attempted to extort the couple.
