Gujarat HC rejects PIL by Mahatma Gandhi’s kin on ashram revamp

The Gujarat high court on Thursday refused to entertain a PIL filed by Mahatma Gandhi’s great grandson Tushar Gandhi taking objection to the redevelopment project of Sabarmati Ashram as proposed by the government. This happened after the state government assured that the one-acre area of ashram is not going to be touched and development would take place in the surrounding land.
