 Varanasi South assembly seat that falls under the Varanasi district is witnessing tough competition for the MLA seat as 5 prominent parties BJP, INC, BSP, AAP, and SP are fighting for this. BJP has once again pitched Neelkanth Tiwari who won the 2017 elections with a margin of 17,226 votes defeating  INC candidate Rajesh Mishra.
