The Supreme Court on Wednesday requested the Union ministry of environment, forest and climate change to consider launching ‘Project Great Indian Bustard (GIB)’, akin to India’s acclaimed conservation effort through ‘Project Tiger’, to save the critically endangered bird, whose numbers have dwindled to about 150.
