Only dalit woman minister 'quits' Puducherry cabinet citing 'caste, gender discrimination'

S Chandira Priyanga, the only woman minister in the Puducherry government, has resigned citing caste and gender discrimination, political conspiracy, and male dominance in politics. However, sources claim she was sacked for not aligning with Chief Minister N Rangasamy's policies. Priyanga, a dalit, held portfolios in transport, scheduled castes welfare, art, and culture. She stated that she faced continuous targeting and harassment, without providing specific details.
