High court notice to Gujarat govt on Teesta's plea seeking FIR quashing

The Gujarat high court on Wednesday issued a notice to the state government over a petition filed by activist Teesta Setalvad seeking the quashing of an FIR against her for allegedly fabricating evidence to frame PM Narendra Modi and others in the 2002 riots conspiracy. Justice J C Doshi directed the investigating officer to file a report on the progress in the investigation. The judge also asked the prosecutor to supply a summary of the investigation because the chargesheet is voluminous.
