13 Palestinians injured in clashes with Israelis in Jerusalem

(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RAMALLAH, June 29 (KUNA) -- At least 13 Palestinians were injured during clashes with Israeli occupation forces, who were taking down a building in Silwan town, Jerusalem.In a statement on Tuesday, Palestinian Red Crescent Society noted that its teams treated five gas attack-related injuries, six rubber bullets wounds and other types caused by inhaling gas and burns.According to Palestinian officials, Israeli occupation forces surrounded and destroyed a butcher store belonging to a Palestinian family in Al-Bustan neighborhood.Israel had previously given Palestinian citizens in the area an ultimatum to destroy their buildings by their own hands, however they refused and remained in their stores and houses.There are 20 Palestinian familes facing the threat of having their houses destroyed in the neighborhood. The neighborhood has 100 houses where 1,550 people live.Meanwhile, member of Fatah's central committee Hussein Al-Sheikh called on the international community to take immediate action to end the Israeli violence in Al-Bustan, which was under a vicious attack that aims to fully destroy the area and displace its Palestinian citizens.
