CBS News producers spoke with Americans across the country who were contacted by telemarketers offering movie investments. One investor put CBS News in touch with a man named Steve, who sent two associates, Cara Kidwell and Jonathan Murphy, to meet with our producers in Los Angeles. Kidwell touted the success of one of her past projects, "What Love Is." CBS News has learned the project never produced returns for investors. The encounter was filmed with hidden cameras.
