Mass graves & a city robbed of funeral rites

The ongoing conflict in Gaza has not only resulted in the loss of lives but has also disrupted the funeral rites of Palestinians, depriving them of dignity and closure. The high number of casualties has overwhelmed hospitals and morgues, making it difficult to perform traditional funeral rituals. Many bodies are unrecognizable due to decomposition or the absence of surviving family members. In an attempt to increase the chances of identification, families are resorting to wearing identification bracelets and writing names on their children's bodies.
