Goodman students on their second day back to school - and in their brand new school after the old one was destroyed by a tornado in april of 20-17.
The new building features new shared learning spaces, exploratory labs, interactive touch-screen boards in each classroom, and expanded hallway space.
Another feature is a combined lab and outdoor court-yard space for student activities.
There's also designated fema safe rooms in the building and everyone has their own favorite features.
"i like that we get a new space and i like the classrooms.the building comes to life when the kids come in it and the community surrounds it, and, the community has just been super supportive and helpful and so glad to have it back, so it just feels comfortable, it feels like we're back."
Dowe: hamilton says there are still a few finishing touches left to complete, including some blinds, a few pieces of furniture, and most importantly for the kids, the installation of their playground equipment.
