Wright said the chase started last night.
A deputy made a traffic stop and noticed a man had been drinking..
The man, james prestridge, drove away but the deputy managed to get the man to stop.
The deputy used her taser a couple of times but prestridge managed to get back in his car and drive away..going 90 miles an hour.
He attempted to run over another deputy with his car...and thats when the deputy fired shots at his tires.
Deputies chased him until he stopped and was taken into custody in pickens county.
Deputies will extradite prestridge back here to lowndes county..he faces charges of felony fleeing and eluding law enforcement officers..
