Clinton slams Trump for ‘cheap extortion racket’
During the address at Georgetown University on Friday (September 27), Clinton went on to say, "Now sadly we’ve known who Donald Trump is for some time now.
We knew he was a corrupt businessman who cheated people.
We knew that he and his campaign invited foreign adversaries to tamper with our elections.
And now we know, that in the course of his duties as president, he’s endangered us all by putting his personal and political interest ahead of the interest of the American people.” In a July 25 phone call, Trump asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to investigate Joe Biden and his son Hunter, according to a summary of the conversation released by the White House.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday called for an impeachment inquiry of Trump.
Trump has blasted the impeachment inquiry, based on a whistleblower complaint about the call, arguing that he did nothing wrong and accusing Democrats of launching a politically motivated "witch hunt."
