Walgreens said in a statement an employee is being evaluated for COVID-19.

Walgreens on river road is open again after a coronavirus scare shut it down for hours.

Kezi nine news reporter connor mccarthy is live on river road in santa clara with the very latest.

Chynna -- this store was closed last night while crews came in and cleaned.

And we just got word from walgreens in a statement that this store behind me shutdown because an employee is being*evaluated for coronavirus.

This*does not mean the employee has tested positive.

Now i was actually here last night... and you can see there were two cleaning trucks parked outside.

There was also signs on the door letting people know the store was closed.

I talked to brian morr last night who's a pharmacist at a nearby pharmacy and he and his wife were confused why walgreens was closed without telling the public why.

The only time it was eve closed was if they couldn't find a pharmacist but that would be going back 10 years you saw that from time to time officials at lane county public health say there are no positive cases that have links to this walgreens or any other.

But then again... we don't know if the employee tested negative... or if the results are still pending.

But for now... this store is open chynna... and we'll keep you posted if we find out what happened to the worker.
