More families will have a little less to worry about thanks to city life and local churches working together.

Today families received care packages with a little bit of everything in them.

Fox 55'sjentill neal was there as families were surprised with the gifts.

Mildred lopez and her daughters are just one of the families taking everything day by day.22:01:33-22:01:42"to have an organization that cares for my kids as much as i do, it gives us hope that there's people out that not only loves our kids but loves god."she along with 50 others are receiving a care package from city life- an organization centered around helping teens reach their highest potential in life and faith.<amy 21:52:30-21:52:41 "they are concerned with their parents potentially losing their jobs.

They've been cut back so finances are tight, and they're opening up and sharing those concerns with us through the different platforms like zoom and facebook messenger."once they realized it was among more than a few, they reached out to several churches to put together care packages.<nygel " a couple of the items in the care package are toilet paper, laundry detergent, some non perishable foods, fruits and vegittables, masks, gloves."

Judge wendy davis says what's happening here is really about helping each other in very challenging times.<wendy 21:58:18-21:58:20"it's better for our soul when we can go love other people."

This is the second batch of care packages that's been distributed by city life.
