Phase Two progress continues in Oroville.

Restaurants have been open for just over a week now as we move deeper into phase two of reopening.

Action news nows vanessa romo talked to some business owners today about their progress.

The patio--- red fly --- tinyhinies and more are back open in oroville& we want to see our community.

We want to get our customers back.

Everybody wants to get back to work.

We just want to do everything we possibly can to keep this going all three opened their doors this past weekend to dine-in and shop.

But for the patio--- it was a challenge.

Phase two of the governor's reopening plan does not allow bars and bar areas to open& theres so much more that we are unsure of with like tests just coming out like we just want to do everything we possibly can to keep it going and we're not going to hurt or get anyone sick.

The patio did open its bar area - but only allows four people to sit at the bar at a timeãand they must keep a 6 foot distance.

Butte county public health says restaurants can serve alcohol but only with a meal order.

All the rules are a very grey area but we're going to air on the caution side instead of chancing things& we're not going to have lines outside & they'll seat people at every other table and keep groups to ten or less& sanitize& just like retailers& im glad to be open.

Im glad to see our customers that we haven't gotten to see in forever.

It's nice to have that interaction with people.

I miss that more than anything&.

The owner of red fly says she will only open one of her three retail stores due to finances &.

She says she will permanetly close her two other stores in downtown chico called the annex and ruby's everyone's been through it.

It's been hard.

Its been emotional, there was a lot of emotions at first& but happy to have her customers and retail neighbors back& and i think last weekend, people were just happy to see buisnesses back open and people downtown here and communicate even at a distance& both owners are running and cleaining their shop alone--- but say they hope to bring their employees back soon as well as customers.

In oroville vr ann cycco.
