The governor announced the appointment of Burl Cain from Louisiana to be the commissioner of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Governor tate reeves appointed a new department of corrections commissioner " i promise to do a great job, to help the department of corrections and to do the four components that's essential to have a good prison, thats good food, good praying, good playing and good medicine.."

He replace pelicia hall who stepped down as commissioner late last year.
