The coronavirus pandemic has cut senior year short for many graduating high schoolers but community members are stepping up to help them celebrate.

I have a senior of my own i thought it would be cool to add him to the page and make his day special.

Crawford's son was also adopted on the page.

Luciana crawford: it makes me feel really good... kristian stand up: so far more than 750 seniors have been adopted including gridley high school senior elise horton&& elise horton/senior at gridley high school: its really nice people are out here thinking of us and recognizing we are going through it so its nice.

This is not how horton envisioned her last year of high school.... elise horton/senior at gridley high school: just missing out on all of my regular senior year experiences, senior ditch day, getting my cap and gown, signing year books and getting to spend that..... jennifer norton/elise's mom: it makes me feel happy people are acknowledging them when they've missed out on so much.

Horton says she plans on attending chico state in the fall and wants to become a dermatology physician assistant.

Elise horton/senior at gridley high school: i'm so excited it made my week so much better.
