Field Hockey goals for Chico High senior

Chico High senior Candice Wainschel hopes to have senior season amid COVID-19 pandemic.

Jeopardize her future& colleges were already looking her way last season, but with this season in limbo... she and many more athletes may not get any more offers... nats --- chico high's candice wainschel was just a freshman when she started playing field hockey & and i took the ball to about the 50 all they way to the cage and all the varsity girls were like dang she's good and that was the most the most craziest thing that's ever happened to me& a season later she earned a spot on the varsity squad& and now two scholarship offers& getting the offer from esu was really surprising for me, i was like wow okay, this is awesome, but i mean it's definitely what ive been working for since freshmen year& east stroudsberg university of pennsylvania and the university of mount olive in north carolina offered candice a scholarship.

Just after being named the most valuable player on her team, all- league and more& everything ive done& its about field hockey, getting good grades so i could go to a good school& it's my whole life now..

But that life now on hold for the 4 point oh student- athlete& the eastern athletic league pushing team sports back to 20-21..

And even then & butte county public health officials will have to sign off& ill be very disappointed& i'll probably cry some more, but i don't know i guess ill just have to go with it& there's not much i can change and do, but keep practicing& and keep trying to play in college.

Just keep going& keep hoping, and practicing& my mom and i bought some turf that we put down in the front yard..

So i can do stick work there and then i made this little board that i could hit off of.

But im not very handy,& so it's a little janky& but it will do& for now& nats --- chico high's candice wainschel was just a freshman when she started playing field hockey & and i took the ball to about the 50 all they way to the cage and all the varsity girls were like dang she's good and that was the most the most craziest thing that's ever happened to me& a season later she earned a spot on the varsity squad& and now two scholarship offers& getting the offer from esu was really surprising for me, i was like wow okay, this is awesome, but i mean it's definitely what ive been working for since freshmen year& east stroudsberg university of pennsylvania and the university of mount olive in north carolina offered candice a scholarship.

Just after being named the most valuable player on her team, all- league and hindp then i made little board th i could hit but im not v handy,& so it's a little janky& but it will do& for now& candice says another offer is in the works and is still unsure where she wants to play in college.

But says she wants to become a team captain pending a senior season& according to the butte county health department, it follows state guidelines and as of now, high school athletics is still not on the agenda& supplies are running low at
