Second time in*3 days... a young child was rescued from the water in the exact spot where*another child was rescued over the weekend.

Kezi nine news reporter connor mccarthy went to mc-kercher park this evening and introduces us to 3 bystanderd who saved a little girl from drowning.

Yellow tape encloses an area of mckercher park where an 8 year old got trapped under water tuesday afternoon.

"it was crazy seeing what we saw."

Before paramedics arrived... these three men rescued the little girl.

She was trapped under a sumerged log while the current rushed over her.

This is the second time in three days a young child has been rescued from this spot.

"i was surprised it happened more than once and nothing was done.

We've even told a couple of parents with little kids to be careful."

Over the weekend a 10 year old boy was rescued in the same spot... from under the sam log.

"i thought that maybe by the first time they would have put something there to let people know right here."

Both children recsued are okay... just little shaken up.

Connor: "as you can see to my left, the water is flowing pretty fasty on this part of the river.

This is actually where the two children got caught in the rapid, but if you walk to my left just a little bit there are some calmer waters right over there" "we have nine month old son so when ever we come her we bring him or the dog so we wont usually go in the faster currents we stayin the more shallow currents."

The sweet home fire district says this spot at park does not have a history of people getting pulled under water---these two rescues were the first*nats the sweet home fire dive team will remove the log with in the coming days.

For now... park goers are asked to stay on the otherside of the yellow tape.
