A new distribution site for fire victims popped up in glide last week& and it become a huge hub for resources.

Kezi 9 news reporter evita garza shows us how organizers are also using the space to find ways to help in the long term.

Trt: 1:41 00:00 take lower right now, the gym here at the old glide middle school is filled to the brim with donations for those who lost anything or everything in the archie creek fire.

These won replace all their lost memories& but allison doty says it a start.

Doty is the president of a local non-profit called glide revitalization.

They started the project last week& with the goal to create a one-stop-shop?

Food, clothes, tolietries&it has anything a fire victim could need.

And to make it easier, theye even brought representatives from fema and the american red cross on site.?if we had to send them to three different other donation sites, that mighte been a little hard on them?

Members of the glide strong committee are lending a hand too& as a way to show the fire victims how much their community cares about them.

Even though they will no longer be available to fire victims, doty tells me theye already looking for ways to help long term?

She says many fire victims may feel like it too early to start thinking about rebuilding& that why theye already piling together resources&.

When theye ready.?we have a list of contractors, general contractors, retired city planners, journey men who want to come help rebuild?

The site will be open until saturday.

Even though these items are heading to storage& she says theye willing to pull things out if someone needs it.
