As action news now keeps tabs on the zogg fire... action news now reporter jafet serrato is on the ground... he has a look at some of the devastation - and fire crews' plans of attack moving forward.

(standup;) just to show you how unpredictable the fire can be take a look at this home behind me.

It's almost unrecognizable after the fire ripped through this area.

You can see there's still a chimney, rubble, some bricks but that's pretty much it.

And if i pan the camera this way next door, this home is almost untouched.

Other structures weren't so lucky... this is the ono grange store, now gone.

The zogg fire knocked down trees, blackened fields and destroyed other homes.

Its just some of the signs of devastation left behind.

(nats) but firefighters are ready to get to work.

(zanotelli:) "our objective is going to be fortify the lines and get some hand crews in and kind of connect the dots where the hand crews couldn't get into the steeper drainages."

Its a plan to protect communities still standing like igo.

(zanotelli:) "as more resources start to funnel in of course we'll get those out on the fire lines and get some aggressive tactics" tactics one cottonwood man hopes works.

(truett:) "every year we have fires here it's not really uncommon.

I think they're going to keep it maintained keep it pushed off that way but i mean with this wind that we're having who knows" (standup:) zanotelli tells me the biggest challenge for firefighters?
