Deadly Owensboro House Fire

Two people died in a house fire in Owensboro on Tuesday.

The home is located on the corner of Ewing Road and Yosemite Drive.

-- valerie - what can you tell us owensboro police are confirming both people inside the home at the time of the fire have died.

Earlier this afternoon department responded to a fire at this home along ewing road and yosemite drive ofd says crews noticed light smoke when they first arrived entering the home fire coming from the mattress in one of the bedrooms. according to ofd where crews found the male victim lying on the mattress.

Crews were then able to put out the fire but ofd says after further search of the house woman across the hall in another bedroom.

She was taken to the hospital owensboro police 44news that she did end up passing away.
