People are mourning the loss of 19 year-old Aidan Ellison and calling for justice in the community.

Gun shot three days before thanksgiving, and today people are remembering him with a vigil in his honor.

Newswatch 12's tyler ridgle is live from the jackson county courthouse where organizations are together for a vigil.

Brian tonight student activist coalition, rogue action center, rogue climate and southern oregon coalition for racial equity came together at the jackson county court house following the indictment of the man who authorities say shot ellison -- robert keegan.

Police say keegan shot aiden during an argument.

Keegan is facing multiple charges -- he has not been charged with a hate crime, although a some people see the shooting as a racially motivated crime.

One page on facebook remembering ellison's life says that what people need to know is that this young man's life was taken and nothing can justify that.
