Last week, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau touted that Canada was the "best country in the world." While this might not be a shocking comment from Canada's prime minister, it's a departure from past comments Trudeau has made.

Five years ago, he explicitly said Canada wasn't the best country in the world – but could be.

He's also said that Canada is a perpetrator of genocide against Indigenous women and girls.
