Inslee closes schools for the remainder of the school year as coronavirus deaths continue to rise

Gov. Jay Inslee on Monday cancelled school for the rest of the school year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Online distance learning will continue through June and high school seniors are expected to graduate on time, Inslee said. He noted that COVID-19 fatalities in Washington are still rising.
