Trillion Energy International saw an increase in natural gas production from its SASB project during the pandemic

Trillion Energy International Inc (CSE:TCF) (OTCMKTS:TCFF) said Friday that its SASB natural gas project in Turkey saw a 50% increase in production from legacy wells over the past few months. The company also said that it had reopened its Turkish offices at the beginning of June as the country begins to emerge from the coronavirus pandemic. Trillion, a Vancouver-based natural gas and oil company, owns several assets in Turkey and Bulgaria, including the SASB Gas field – one of the Black Sea region’s largest undeveloped natural gas projects, of which Trillion has a 49% interest. Oil prices rebounded during the month of May to over US$30 per barrel, while gas prices received remain above US$6. The oil firm said that demand remained strong and it did not have to curtail production amidst the COVID-19 outbreak. Prior to its Ankara office reopening, Trillion implemented a work-from-home strategy where possible and current employees at its operations maintain appropriate social distancing protocols, it said in a statement. The firm also received an extension on its oil exploration licenses for its Derecik project in Turkey until April 2021. Trillion also has an interest in the Cendere oil field and the Vranino gas project. It debuted on the Canadian Securities Exchange in February 2020 and began trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in May.
