Loop Insights Inc (CVE:MTRX) (OTCQB:RACMF) announced Monday that it is launching its Digital Connect Health Platform that will integrate provincial healthcare systems in Canada. The platform is a fully-integrated digital solution that gives provincial and federal governments the ability to connect legacy and antiquated systems. The launch comes after multiple continuous talks and feedback from all levels of government over the last seven months, according to Loop, after it debuted a Beta version of its Smart Health contactless check-in platform that allows patients to tap their mobile phone to check in and verify their identification in April. A key area of feedback involved navigating the varying restrictions and protocols amongst different governments throughout the coronavirus pandemic and the frustration caused by the lack of a single platform to provide consistency in the application of policies, according to the Vancouver-based company. The Digital Connect Health Platform will connect provincial and federal systems while at the same time allowing individual provinces to maintain jurisdictional authority by managing their own internal data repositories. One of the major advantages is the ability for individuals to use the platform to tap into their data outside of their home province, Loop told shareholders. The platform provides instant medical reminders and allows patients to book appointments with their family doctor or other healthcare professionals within their mobile device. Patients will be able to tap to check-in with their smartphone at a medical facility registering with their verified healthcare ID. 'Revolutionary' platform CEO Rob Anson called the platform’s development a “massive undertaking” over the last seven months. “In conjunction with key stakeholders who have been expressing the need for continued digital transformation within the healthcare sector, we have delivered a complete end-to-end digital solution that solves the challenge of decades of siloed data, a lack of connectivity, and a lack of access,” Anson said in a statement. “As a result, Loop provides governments and the private sector with the ability to connect their current legacy and antiquated systems. This is so revolutionary that it has attracted the attention of global technology companies and has positioned Loop for success within healthcare.” The technology company told investors that it sees a “significant opportunity” within the Canadian healthcare sector, a $74 billion market according to IBISWorld. As individual provinces consider digital healthcare solutions, a federal platform will require a fully-integrated solution that allows for secure electronic medical records, third-party billing services, and extended healthcare services, Loop said. The firm added that, through its previously announced partnership with iStoc, the company will offer integrated testing for a variety of illnesses and infectious diseases.
