Aeris Resources Ltd (ASX:AIS)’s latest results from its Constellation Deposit at its 100%-owned Tritton tenement package in New South Wales has shown “very high copper grades”.  The combined reverse circulation (RC) and diamond tails drilling has also extended the strike length of sulphide mineralisation out to 300 metres.  ‘Pleasing’ assay results Aeris’ Labuschagne said the latest results from the combined RC and diamond tails drilling continue to build understanding of the near surface mineralisation. ”The supergene mineralisation, in particular, is showing very high copper grades. The relative proximity of this mineralisation to the surface means it can be accessed early on in any future development of the Constellation deposit. “Also pleasing are the latest assays from the diamond drilling program, targeting deeper areas of the deposit. “What is particularly encouraging is that recent drilling has extended the strike length of sulphide mineralisation out to 300m. “With the diamond tails now complete, we have recommenced RC drilling to test potential strike extensions of the near surface mineralisation, which is still open to the south.” Results Diamond tails were completed on 18 RC holes, which were stopped in mineralisation. Significant assay results from the combined RC/diamond tail drill holes include: ➢TAKRC004 61.6 metres at 5.12% copper, 0.80 g/t gold, 4.7 g/t silver (from 44 metres) including:  – 38.2 metres at 2.95% copper, 0.48g/t gold, 1.8g/t silver (from 44m) RC;    – 23.4 metres at 8.67% copper, 1.33 g/t gold, 9.5 g/t silver (from 82.2 metres) diamond ➢TAKRC005  12.5 metres at 11.14% copper (from 45 metres)  4.6 metre at 11.18% copper (from 45 metres) RC  8.2 metres at 11.12% copper (from 49.6 metres) diamond ➢ TAKRC005 23.7 metres at 2.93% copper, 0.87 g/t gold, 5.5 g/t silver (from 113.3 metres) Also, TAKD019 intersected a thick sulphide intersection down plunge from TAKRC006. Significant assay results from TAKD019 include:  48.7 metres at 2.56% copper (from 140.3 metres); and  6.0 metres at 2.53% copper (from 198 metres) The thick high-grade copper intersections reported from TAKRC004, TAKRC005 and TAKD019 along the northern margin of the near surface supergene and primary sulphide mineralised system, which represents the thickest part of the deposit identified to date from drilling. Diamond drill program A further 14 diamond drill holes have been completed at the Constellation deposit, with seven of the drill holes tested strike extensions to the mineralised system further south from previous drilling. Copper sulphides were intersected in six drill holes, extending mineralisation a further 100 metres along strike, to 300 metres in total. Several drill holes intersected thin (<50cm) semi-massive pyrite – chalcopyrite intersections at the target horizon. It is probable the drill holes are intersecting the southern margin of the mineralised system. A downhole EM (DHEM) survey is planned to test for conductive bodies further south beyond the current drilling footprint. The remaining seven drill holes targeted mineralisation down plunge from the RC footprint and within the area that is the focus of the resource definition drilling campaign. Assay results have been returned for six of these diamond drill holes, including TAKD019. Significant high grade copper intersections returned include: ➢ TAKD011 – 1.75 metre at 8.54% copper, 5.62 g/t gold, 21.9 g/t silver (from 346.85 metres) ➢ TAKD012 – 11.2 metres at 1.75% copper, 0.67 g/t gold, 2.8 g/t silver (from 435.8 metres) ➢ TAKD014 – 20.3 metres at 2.02% copper, 0.49 g/t gold, 4.7 g/t silver (from 475 metres) ➢ TAKD017 – 16.7 metre at 1.85% copper, 0.61 g/t gold, 4.0 g/t silver (from 311 metres) ➢ TAKD020 – 3.9 metre at 3.49% copper, 0.53 g/t gold, 6.0 g/t silver (from 118 metres) Going foward Due to COVID restrictions at the laboratory,  the turnaround time on assay results is being delayed and the situation is expected to continue for the next few weeks. This is however not slowing down activities at Constellation, with three rigs still drilling. RC drilling has recommenced at the Constellation deposit following the completion of the highly successful 52-hole program. The current program, totalling 19 RC holes, will test strike extensions further south from the near surface, high-grade copper mineralisation defined from the initial drill program. The two diamond drill rigs will continue a combination of exploration and resource definition drilling.
