Tech unicorn Unite Us acquires UChicago spin out NowPow

Unite Us, a New York-based tech startup valued at more than $1.6 billion, has scooped up a Chicago startup that helps people find health and wellness resources in their neighborhoods. United Us announced Tuesday that it has acquired NowPow, a spin out from the University of Chicago that operates a community referral network to help users get access to nearby doctors, nurses, social workers and case workers.
