General Motors CEO Mary Barra elected as first woman to lead the Business Roundtable

General Motors CEO Mary Barra has been elected chair of the Business Roundtable, an association of CEOs of America’s leading companies. Barra, who will be the first woman to lead the Roundtable in its nearly 50-year history, will begin a two-year term on January 1, 2022. She joined the association in 2017 and currently serves as chair of its education and workforce committee.
